It took me a while learning about implementation of  height map to generate landscapes in Opengl. NEHE production portal is best to learn these stuff. So finally here is the screenshot of my landscape done using opengl program with c++.

Hi, its been a while since I last wrote on here. December was an hard as well as joyful month with so many travels, hangouts and parties which kept my away from blogging. Anyway, the new year has come(well, wish you happy new year.. its late wish huh? just couple of weeks tho!)  and my new year resolution is maintaining my last new year resolutions .Finally , all fun is over and back to my works.

I do lots of chatting with friends on Gtalk and FB most of the time. Some of my friends are too much(I mean good) with English. Sometimes they use weird words(I mean good words) which I never heard before (may be they read so much of fictional books). I love google’s services , one among them is Google App engine,  a cloud computing technology which  virtualizes applications across multiple servers and data centers. It is very easy to host our application on their servers , they offer a limited service for free.

I learned  something on app engine which is very flexible to create applications . I used Google’s Eclipse plugin which includes GWT, a framework by google for building web applications. During the year 2007. I was in first year of my college, I created a website with  a website builder tool and I used my naive HTML knowledge, as a leisure.  The days passed. It was build and never shown to anyone. Just kept it in my local. After few days , I found a hosting a ihavefree.com , a website which have options to host free website.  Its no more now, and for a college mini project , I simple showcased it by uploading on freehostia.com and it was well polished for the expo.
